Since the announcement of Duncan Jones as Director of the much anticipated feature film adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft, any further news has been thin on the ground. If you follow Duncan on Twitter you’ll know he is enjoying getting stuck in immensely, even inventing a new word for the process…
"Magnificult" – something very difficult to achieve, but hugely worth doing. Example; making the Warcraft movie is MAGNIFICULT.

Today though we have some idea of how Legendary Pictures CEO Thomas Tull sees the development of Warcraft progressing in the first part of an interview with Collider’s Steve Weintraub. There’s plenty for you to read over on Collider, but I’ll leave you with Thomas’ thoughts on Mr Jones.
We’re huge believers in Duncan Jones, and I think what we’re going to bring to screen and to bear with Duncan, he is going to break that mold because it’s going to have the resources, the talent around it, and a Field General in Duncan Jones. It’s, again, the reason we took our time, made sure we had the right guy, the right person to make the movie, and then it will speak for itself when it comes out.
Field General! Looking at the photo above, that’s not heard to believe 😉
