Duncan Jones & Nathan Parker win Best First Feature-Length Screenplay At Writers Guild Awards

Writers Guild Of Great BritainCongratulations to Duncan Jones & Nathan Parker who this evening won the Writers Guild Of Great Britain award for Best First Feature-Length Screenplay for MOON.

The awards were announced in London earlier this evening, and also on theย twitter

The Guild awards, dating from 1961, are cherished accolades as they are the only ones in which writers are honoured by their peers. Recipients of special or lifetime awards over the years have included Lord (Ted) Willis, John Osborne, Sir Alan Ayckbourn, Dennis Potter and Alan Plater.

Many congratulations to Duncan & Nathan, well deserved recognition. Raising a glass in your honour, chaps ๐Ÿ™‚

Duncan Jones & Nathan Parker have been nominated in the Writers Guild Of Great Britain 2010 Awards, ย in the category of Best First Feature-Length Screenplay.

The awards are set to be announced at a reception on Sunday, November 21st, and we’ll be sure to let you know if there is another win for MOON. Full list of nominations are:

  • Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll – Paul Viragh
  • Moon – Duncan Jones, Nathan Parker

Source Code Gets Closer To Completion

We also have a wee Source Code update for you this evening as Duncan tweeted earlier, typing from his safe British seat in LA

Getting close to finishing Source Code now… Hopefully we are doing the last chunk of ADR with Jake today. Effects keep rolling in.

Soon, all that will remain is the recording of the Source Code score, which, as you may recall, will see Duncan re-united with the writer of the incredible MOON soundtrack, Clint Mansell.

March 2011 release is getting closer ๐Ÿ™‚
