DEC East Africa Crisis Appeal SOURCE CODE & MOON Auction

“Over 10 million people are at risk in East Africa due to conflict and some areas being affected by the worst drought in 60 years. The DEC East Africa Crisis Appeal will support the work of our members in affected areas of Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia and South Sudan. Your donations can help provide life saving aid such as food, water, care for malnourished children and medical treatment.”

As many of you will know, there is no official merchandise for Duncan Jones’ 2009 debut feature MOON, and currently, as far as we know, for the 2011 follow up feature SOURCE CODE. Fortunately, through the generosity of Director Duncan Jones, we have some rather fantastic promotional items here in the goody box.
Had initially planned to pop one or two up on here as competition prizes, but after watching the the DEC East Africa Crisis Appeal (despite lack of coverage due to current media relate stories in the UK), thought it might be a good idea to pop together a money can’t buy bundle…except now money can buy these rare promotional only items. So please bid your pants off, 100% of all proceeds for this auction will be sent to DEC to hopefully help save lives in East Africa. So what are you bidding on?

MOON signed by Duncan Jones for Bletchley Park Auction

Thanks to Shed Master UncleWilco, and Director Duncan Jones, you now have the chance to bid on signed copies of MOON, 2 x Blu-Ray & 1 x DVD, all signed as you can see in pic above by Duncan.

As you know Bletchley Park is our charity for Shed week 2010 and the way I thought of helping them and the wonderful Huts ( Hut 6 was Hut of the year 2009) they are in a right state due to lack of funding but the Bletchley Park Trust are doing as much as possible to safeguard these historic buildings and luckily the people in government have finally seen their importance to Britain and the world.

Anyway I have organised a charity auction which starts today and runs through Shed Week until next Thursday to raise some extra funds.

Lucky we have some great supporters of shed week and they have provided us with some brilliant items you can bid for on that ebay with all the funds going straight to Bletchley Park! so everyone’s a winner.

‘Moon’ Props & Costumes Auction

The Prop Store of London will be holding an auction of ‘Moon’ gear starting Monday 9th November at 16:00 GMT.

The Prop Store is proud to present an exclusive collection of props, costumes and model miniatures from Duncan Jones’ Sci-Fi masterpiece ‘Moon’.

Each item will come complete with a special MOON COA which is signed by Director Duncan Jones, Producer Stuart Fenegan & Stephen Lane, CEO of Prop Store.

The auctions will be held on Ebay.co.uk and run out of The Prop Store UK facility.

There will only be a limited number of pieces – but there is some great stuff.

  • Model miniature Moon Rover vehicles x2 built by Bill Pearson.
  • Sam Rockwell’s jumpsuit 1 Only!
  • GERTY the Robot 1 Only! (of course there is only one GERTY)

As well as original artwork, blueprints, hand props, other model miniatures and gadgets.

All in all only about 70 items.

10 items will be listed per day starting November the 9th at 4pm GMT and each auction will run for 7 days. Each auction starts at just 99p (!) with no reserve!

Yes, you read that right, the real GERTY will be in the auction, responding to questions on twitter on how he could even think of letting GERTY leave, ‘Moon’ Director Duncan Jones stated:

i cant afford to keep him! He eats nothing but fillet mignon and caviar!
