Duncan recently gave an exclusive interview with UK magazine Retro Gamer’s Jerry Bonner on the subject of his passion for video games. Being an avid, long time gamer, and having worked in the industry, Duncan has plenty of experience to fall back on when it comes to being grilled on his gaming credentials… Continue reading Duncan Jones – Retro Gamer
Through the process of helping to promote MOON since 2009, I’ve been very lucky to have got to know Art Director Hideki Arichi. Not one to blow his own trumpet, I thought it was about time we nailed him down to an interview, to let you all know a bit more about Hideki, his work in film, and his ongoing developments in the world of art. So without further ado, let’s have a word with the Artist, printmaker, Art Director for film, stage technician, film maker, actor, & traveller… Continue reading Interview: Art Director Hideki Arichi On MOON, Iceland, Printmaking & Becoming a Ronin…
As SOURCE CODE heads into it’s 5th week on general release (US/ UK) and Duncan Jones gets busy with film number 3, I thought it would be a good time to look back over the interviews from the recent promotional tour, and one stood out more than the rest, so I thought I’d share it with you in case you’d missed it previously. Continue reading Duncan Jones Discusses MOON & SOURCE CODE With Warren Etheredge
SOURCE CODE Director Duncan Jones, and stars Jake Gyllenhaal & Michelle Monaghan took part in one of Apple’s Meet The Filmmaker sessions at the Soho Apple Store, New York last Friday, 1st April, on the day of SOURCE CODE’s general release.
Not all of us were able to attend, but all of us can listen to a great session, hosted by JoBlo.com’s Mike Sampson either via the iTunes store, or for those without iTunes, over on the Apple Meet The Filmmaker page.
A great session lead by Mike to start with, leading into questions from the audience. As with all Q&A’s and interview sessions that have occurred during the promotional tour for SOURCE CODE, there is a lot of humour, and banter, as well as many insights into how the film came about, and the experience of creating SOURCE CODE. Enjoy
I have never watched Conan O’Brien, I’m British, and only just getting over the fact that Terry Wogan isn’t on the tellybox nearly every night over here. As Jake Gyllenhaal quite rightly points out, he does look like the Abraham Lincoln of talk show hosts. And apparently is never seen in public without a desk?
Anyway, Jake just appeared on Conan’s show last night to talk beards, Iranian Boys Choir, ‘Send In The Clowns’ and Sade, then jumps off a train. I swear this is all linked to ‘Source Code‘
Featuring questions sent into the show by Moviefone readers, and also unscripted questions from the two actors to each other. Really fascinating one from Michelle to Jake about an earpiece Michelle noticed Jake wearing during filming.
Thanks to WDW for the heads up on this one.
Just over a day ago, Source Code Made its’ World Premiere at SXSW 2011 in Austin, TX. These are clips from that premiere’s Red Carpet event including Duncan Jones, Jake Gyllenhaal, Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan, Cas Anvar and Writer Ben Ripley! See what they had to say about the film, working with Duncan, and the whole Source Code experience!
Here’s the one we’ve been waiting for, the SXSW 2011 official Source Code premiere red carpet, and Q&A at the Paramount, Austin, Texas.
Featuring Director Duncan Jones, writer Ben Ripley, and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga.
The Source Code may seem complicated to some (me included) which is why we were crying out for someone to explain it in a way that we could all understand, who knew though, that the man to make it all clear, would be world renowned quantum physicist, Pee Wee Herman.
Of course, Pee Wee Herman is attending this years SXSW Film Festival & Convention to promote his return with ‘Pee Wee Herman On Broadway‘, so it would be remiss of Source Code star Jake Gyllenhaal, to not return the favour, by helping to explain what ‘Pee Wee Herman On Broadway’ is all about.
