Since the release of MOON in 2009, there has been the odd request for a MOON merchandise. Unfortunately, there is no official merchandise available at the moment.
No official t-shirts, posters, badges, patches, mugs, robotic assistants, flowbees or sealed bags of beans exist. We occasionally manage to find some promotional bits & bobs to send out to competitions winners, or auction off for charity. But nothing you can actually order online, or go buy from a shop.
BUT WAIT! For MOON Director Duncan Jones has just told this:
There’s a CHANCE we may finally get to sell Moon posters & Collectors toys.
Basically we need to show there are at least 500 fans out there who would buy a Gerty desktop toy or a collectors Sam piece. 🙂
So, we’d like to get an idea of how many of you would be interested in buying some MOON gear, and what you’d like to be able to buy if it were possible. Please complete the poll below, and leave a comment, because I’ll be doing a random draw on the comments on Friday 16th at 23:00, and sending the winner a MOON promo T-Shirt (S/M or L) and a set of 4 MOON patches.

Since I am a huge fan of NASA and collect mission patches, I would definitely buy the patches. The rover too would be awesome, and hell, why not get a GERTY desk toy (as long of spacy’s voice powers it). So yeah, I’d buy a bunch of stuff hands down.
I’d love to buy Sarang/Lunar Industries working gear (patches, T-shirts, coffee mug would *rule*, etc.)!

Would love a t-shirt that has a Lunar Industries logo, maybe with one of the images from the patches shown on the sleeve. “In universe” shirts are always better than just shirts with the movie logo on them.

Come on people we want Moon Rovers with duplicate Sam’s to scale with, or Harvester + rover,boxed as 70’s Dinky toys with hand painted box art.

YES! Tried finding an offical Moon shirt, so I had to opt for buying an unofficial ‘Wake Me when it’s quitting time’ shirt off of ebay (sorry, i do love it though!!) Such a great film!

loved MOON. easily in my top 10 movies of the last 5 years. i’ve been wanting a poster since i first saw one, and some other MOON swag would be sweet as well. best of luck in getting this set into motion!

Yeah, I’d be pretty excited to buy a poster, especially if it was a limited edition, signed and numbered by the artist.
I’ve recommended the film to so many already, this film definitely deserves some official merchandise!

“Moon” is one of my top 3 films of all time (along with “Harvey” and “Nausicaa”) so of course I’d like merch 🙂
Definitely a shirt and the patches would be sweet. But I like idea of selling some of the shirts that Sam Bell actually wears in film that’d be sweet.

Half the reason I have a BigTrak in the office is because of Moon! A companion rover (or all of them if we’re wishing) would be great!

Honestly I am not as fussed about actual clothing, but a poster would certainly be nice, an action figure too but, by far and away my favourite idea is the GERTY Desk Toy, I would absolutely love that!

Love Moon! Been planning to customise some overalls so I can dress as Sam Bell for a friend’s birthday, so official patches would be perfect for that! Moon merchandise is needed in this world.

I want a dancing Gerty! A lil USB one you plug into the PC! A beanie would be cool too, I love beanies (not so much frankies though). Cloth patches would look great with all my shuttle patches on my jean jacket. Rover should come with Sam figure. Make. It. Happen. Please!
Seeing as how my younger brother and I are huge ‘Moon’ freaks I’d say that any one of these fine pieces of merch would be purchased at some point. A GERTY desk toy, though, would be bought immediately. And in large quantities. By both of us.
